Skedit built the Skedit app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Skedit and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Skedit unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

Skedit is a field service management app used by service companies and their employees. To provide the Service, we collect the following information:

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and login credentials, provided by you or by the company you work for.
• Location data: your device's precise location, as described in the Location Data section below.
• Photos and files: photos you take with the camera or choose from your device, which are attached to the jobs, customers, or records you add them to.
• Business records: the customer, job, schedule, timeclock, invoice, and other records you enter into the app.
• Device information: a push notification token so we can send you notifications, and the Log Data described below.

The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Location Data

We collect technician location data to improve service visibility and customer communication. Location tracking helps us provide more accurate estimated arrival times, confirm that technicians are at the correct service location, verify service duration, and improve scheduling and routing efficiency. This information helps us provide customers with a more reliable and transparent service experience.

The Skedit mobile app collects your device's precise location in these ways:

• Service technician tracking: while you are logged in to the app, it collects your location, including when the app is closed or not in use, and shows it to your company's office staff and managers on the schedule map in the Skedit desktop app. A new location is recorded only after the device has moved roughly 1 kilometer (about 0.6 miles).
• Timeclock: when you clock in, clock out, or start or end a break, the app records your location at that moment and saves it with the timeclock entry so your employer can verify where time was recorded.

Before collecting location data, the app tells you why it needs your location and asks for your permission. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, or stop tracking by logging out of the app. If you do, the technician map and timeclock location features will not work, but the rest of the app will keep working.

For technician tracking we store only your most recent location; each new location replaces the previous one. Timeclock locations are stored with the timeclock entry they belong to. Location data is only visible to users of the company account you belong to. We do not sell location data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With the company you work for and the other users of that company's Skedit account;
• With the service providers described below, who process it on our behalf; and
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.

The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your company's Skedit account is active, or as long as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations. To request that your account or personal data be deleted, contact your company's Skedit administrator or email us at support@skedit.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required by law to keep it.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
